I can provide students with high quality lessons at their home, online or in my studio.

Students can use my Korg D1 digital piano with Real Hammer Action 3 technology, which I pair with Modartt Piano Stage Teq 8 software. This is played back through a vintage Hi-Fi system for an adaptable, rich and fantasticly warm sound.

There’s also plenty of room for guests to sit on the sofa and a big table for brainstorming those lesson plans!

Commitment is so important to learning, but also to teaching. That’s why your lessons get cheaper the longer you learn. While your 1st term is a good price, your 2nd term is discounted and your 4th term will be your cheapest.

After your 4th term, your lesson price is locked in and no price increases will affect you!

I support students to become exactly the kind of musicians they want to be.

While no-one is an expert in everything, I apply my teaching skills to any subject, providing the most relevant and direct path I can find for my students to progress, even if this means recommending other teachers.

I also created The 5 elements of musicianship to demonstrate the various ways all musicians learn music, which includes listening, playing, creating, recording and understanding.

Using the concept of the 5 elements of musicianship in lessons means supporting a student to develop and utilise every aspect of their musical being, regardless of their interest / subject area.

I never turn a student down and will always endevour to provide a unique, personalised learning journey that reflects the individual students aspiriations and goals. I can take you confidently through Jazz, Classical, Pop, Electronic Music and Improvisation at the piano and will welcome your interests and pursuits in any subject.

Don’t learn alone! The piano especially can be a solitary instrument, but a big part of the value of music is sharing it with others.

You’ll see from my portfolio that I am very passionate about bringing people together through music. My students benefit from learning with a community either through my online membership, my end-of-term performance lessons, my workshop and jam sessions, or simply from the encouragement to share their music with friends and family.

Sharing your learning with others can be motivating, validating and useful for reflecting on your skills and progress, but sometimes a little daunting..! Your teacher should support you to share music, rather than being the only one who hears you play.

My students benefit from personalised, lesson plans with clear and regular feedback.

Term students are provided a digital learning diary, based on (abrsm / trinity) grades, demonstrating progress across various areas. This results in a catalogue of for each individual students’ challenges, aims and interests that students can keep these for life.

Structure is so important for consistent long-term progress. My learning diary defines, documents and demonstrates how my students are progressing not just lesson to lesson, but over months and years.
