For cancelling multiple prepaid lessons, a written notice period of not less than 4 weeks is required to terminate the agreement, after the ‘cooling off period’ (see 'to cancel your contract' below). In the event that the Student or Parent/Legal Guardian discontinues Lessons after the cooling off period with insufficient notice, the lessons will not be refunded and cannot be redeemed at a later date.

If you cancel this contract during the cooling off period, you will be reimbursed for the according payment(s) received from you, unless you requested to begin the performance of services during the cooling off period. To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cooling off period has expired.
Reimbursement will be made to you without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which you requested to cancel this contract. The reimbursement will be made using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. In any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.
Working with a Musicians Union Member.
- MU members are insured personally in respect of legal liability that may arise following injury or damage to members of the public. The limit of indemnity is £10m. This policy is only operative whilst the individual registered member is performing, rehearsing or auditioning either solo or as part of a group, band or orchestra and/or whilst teaching either at the member's own home, the Student's own home, or in a public place including transit to and from.
- It is important to note that whilst a Teacher will use his or her best endeavours to ensure the Student makes satisfactory progress. this cannot be guaranteed. In particular, careful regular practice as advised by the Teacher is a prerequisite of success on any musical instrument or in any musical endeavour.
Lesson Policies
You can reschedule lessons with just 48 hours of notice or more. Rescheduling is a negotiation and depends on the teachers availability.
Lessons the teacher cancels that cannot be rescheduled, will be refunded.
Learning music can be a social affair and the Teacher may travel between working locations. Please allow as much flexibility as possible, as will your Teacher.
Understand the scheduled time is provisional by 5 minutes, early or late. Starting early is a bonus, but allowing 5 minutes after the scheduled finish is essential to avoid potential loss of Lesson or Workshop time.
Your Teacher will provide the full lesson duration on the day, or by credit if the Teacher is late. If you are late(r than the provisional start time), your lesson will be shortened without compensation.
If your teacher is late(r than the provisional start time) by a matter of minutes, they will offer to overun, or compensate by returning those minutes either by extended future lessons or discounts.
If either Teacher or Student is later than %50 of the lesson duration, this may be claimed and dealt with as a missed lesson by either party.
Students should show respect for lessons, as you would school or work. Dress and behave appropriately, regardless of where lessons take place (e.g online / students home).
Lessons in your home must take place in a communal room (not in bedrooms), in a clear and safe environment. Please keep background noise to a minimum.
Teachers are not responsible for childrens behaviour and are not responsible for discipline or management in this area. If children choose to misbehave during lessons, this will be reported, but remains the repsonsibility of the parents.
Children (under 18) are not to be unsupervised during Lessons. If a Parent/Legal Guardian decides to leave the room or the building, whether or not verbal permission is requested and granted from the Teacher, no caring duties are passed and the Parent/Legal Guardian remains responsible for thier child.
Our Teachers reserve the right to abort lessons at any time, without notice or refund if these policies are not met, or if the Teacher decides the environment is unsuitable or has become unsuitable at any point.
